Description

As already known from scientific literature, the use of L Ascorbic acid in cosmetic products presents some difficulties because of its low stability in water solution (a transparent solution of 1% ascorbic acid turn to orange oxidised colour of dehydroascorbic acid in 24 hours) and because of low pH cosmetic product.

Thanks to low pKa of L-ascorbic acid, to ensure sufficient percutaneous absorption, the cosmetic product must be formulated at pH levels less than 3.5 . This low pH can cause skin irritation and redness.

So, these structural peculiarities of Ascorbic Acid molecules lead to a lot of stabilisation problems and a not well tolerated cosmetics.

The Exo Elixir Alpine Rose thanks to Exosomes Technology it can encapsulate Ascorbic Acid into the vesicles of vegetal origin composed of a double phospholipids layer and therefore:

  • make Ascorbic Acid water solution stable over time in its active, not oxidised, state
  • make Ascorbic Acid perfectly biocompatible with the skin surface thanks to the exosome natural delivery system, so perfectly able to cross the skin barrier in every cosmetics pH value.

The logical consequence is that the use of Exo Elixir Alpine Rose makes Ascorbic Acid totally bioavailable on the skin.

-30% ROS Reduction
Demonstrated a 30% reduction in reactive oxygen species (ROS) in human fibroblasts after 24 hours, confirming its potent antioxidant properties.

+500% Hyaluronic Acid Increased
Increased hyaluronic acid production by 5 times in healthy cells and 2 times in oxidatively stressed cells, revitalising the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid synthesis.

Oxygen in the atmosphere is a crucial component for life-sustaining aerobic respiration in humans.

Skin, the largest organ in the human body, is exposed to Oxygen also, but air pollutants including diesel exhaust fumes, ultraviolet rays, drugs, promote the production of its metabolites called activated oxygen or reactive oxygen species (ROS). ROS are extremely reactive on the skin because they quickly contribute to skin ageing and skin inflammation process.

In our test we treated human fibroblasts cells with Exo Elixir Alpine Rose for 24 hours, monitored the ROS species quantity during test time.

In conclusion we verified an effective reduction of 30% in ROS species present in human fibroblasts cell after 24 hours test. That confirms Antioxidant Activity of Exo Elixir Alpine Rose.

The most dramatic histochemical change observed in senescent skin is the marked disappearance of epidermal Hyaluronic Acid. As chronological age advances, the intrinsic cell production of hyaluronic acid naturally decreases, which heavily contributes to dehydration, atrophy and loss of elasticity that characterizes aged skin.

In our test we want to verify that we can bio revitalise the hyaluronic acid human cells synthesis. We conducted the test in double: on healthy human fibroblast cells versus same untreated cells and on oxidative stressed, damaged fibroblast cells versus same untreated cells.

In conclusion:

  • On healthy cells: the Exo Elixir Alpine Rose treated cells increase the concentration of Hyaluronic Acid 5 times more than untreated cells.
  • On oxidative stressed cell: the Exo Elixir Alpine Rose treated cells increase the concentration of Hyaluronic Acid 2 times more than untreated cells.
  • Results confirm that Exo Elixir Alpin Rose bio revitalise the intrinsic Hyaluronic Acid synthesis on Healthy and on Oxidative stressed cells.
